Staff should never include personally identifiable information, such as names, dates of birth, addresses, protected health information, or other details that could identify an individual or group, into generative AI tools. Confidential or legally protected information must also not be shared.

Staff should only use AI tools vetted and approved by NJUHSD. An approved tool meets the district’s standards for privacy, security, and confidentiality, and complies with applicable state and federal laws. Approval does not mean the tool meets the district’s academic standards.
